Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) is one of the prominent institute in the field of astronomical studies. Famous as an Astronomical Observatory, ARIES is located at the 9 km before Naintal town on moving from Kathgodam . Observatory is open for public in order to show some astronomical instruments in working day afternoons. Visitors are allowed in the observatory at fours days during moonlight nights to watch celestial objects through the telescopes. These nights are fixed and visitors are allowed prior to permission.
